Today is another inspirational person post! Instead of doing the usual 1 person a post, I'm going to share the stories of 4 people that have been in the news recently. All 4 stories have restored my faith in humanity and I hope it does the same for you.

She took a stand against racism and racial abuse while riding the subway in New York. She helped out an "African American woman wearing a hijab and a man who appeared to be from the Middle East" who were berated by an older women.

Check out the video of this encounter below:

No one should be discriminated or feel "less" of a person based on what they believe or where they come from. Everyone should be treated fairly and with respect.

2. Glenn

Todd Steinkamp's car broke down on the way to a funeral and it stranded him in Wild Rose, Wisconsin. Repairs would take days and rental cars weren't available. The mechanic in the town, Glenn, handed over the keys to his truck and told Todd to continue driving to the funeral.

Check out Todd's FB post on this amazing act of kindness here.

As Todd says, "Glenn…the 74 year old mechanic with a grip of steel turned a terrible day into a good one with a great lesson…”just be kind and help if you can”.

3. Kate Langman

Kate, a hairstylist, helped a woman, who had severe depression, get a hair makeover. This woman was so depressed that she couldn't get out of her bed for 6 months, let alone fix her hair. Mental illness, like depression, is no joke; it depletes you of motivation and everything becomes a struggle. Kate decided to help this woman out, after seeing her shop for hair products, by scheduling an appointment with the hair salon. It took weeks until the lady came back to the hair salon and Kate was still willing to help. Kate, according to her, "spent 8 1/2 hours with this girl. 4 1/2 hours of combing, and 3 hours coloring and 1/2 hour for the cut". See the transformation below:

As Kate says, “I wanted her to know that there is someone that is here to help her. No matter the circumstances. She needed someone she could count on and I wanted to be that person for her.”

4. Debbie Bolton

This last story may be one for the books.

A man couldn't afford to pay for his daughter's airplane ticket. His daughter turned 2 in January and , because of that, the airplane ticket wasn't free anymore. Debbie Bolton stepped up to help and paid for the $749 ticket. Yes, she paid for $749 airplane ticket. Kevin Leslie caught the interaction with this photo (all credit goes to him):

Believe it or not, there is still a lot of "good" in the world we live. Dig a little deeper (beyond the news you see) and see what you will fall in love with!
