This is my first advice post and this applies to life in a general perspective. Some of these are overlooked concepts in society. Leave me comments on what subjects you want advice on and I might just have the advice on that particular subject!
- Always try.
Some credit is better than no credit. Look, no one is perfect and there are times where you will encounter something that you don't understand. That is ok. Don't let what you don't understand hold you back from making an effort!
- There will be times where you will be the best and, other times, where you will won't.
That's the reality of life. You won't be the best at everything. Just because you are not good at baking than your neighbor, for example, does not mean you don't have other talents. You have talents that other people don't have.
- Stop comparing yourself to others.
You have your own unique talents and other people have their own unique talents. Embrace what makes you uniquely you.
- Believe in yourself.
Always challenge yourself to be better everyday. If you tell yourself that you will slay it, you will. Stop doubting yourself because, if you just try, chances are you can do it!
- Laugh off your failures.
This is the hardest one. When we fail, we beat ourselves up all the time. Why be so hard on ourselves? Let's say we wanted to bake a chocolate cake but, instead of having a round shape, it turned out to look like poop. If that happened, why beat yourself up and say, "I'm a failure. I can't do anything right"?. Laugh it off. 5 years later, you would look back and laugh at how bad you failed anyways. Why laugh in 5 years when you can do that in the present? Next time you fail, don't be so hard on yourself.
- Even though something turned out wrong, there is still something that you did right.
Say you baked a cake that ended up looking like poop. Even though you failed on the "look" of the cake, that doesn't mean you didn't do something right. What if the cake tasted awesome? You got to look for the small things that you did right whenever you mess up because they are there. You just have to find it; don't be so hard on yourself.
Almost everything I talked about can be found in this video. Enjoy!
