Life is a Bus

Today, I want to share with you an interesting analogy I thought of the other day on the bus ride home.

During the bus ride, I thought of life as a bus.

Let me explain:

YOU are the driver of your own bus. YOU dictate the direction of where your life goes (whether its negative or positive). Every decision you make is on YOU.

The bus stops that you drive your bus towards are your "moments" and "milestones". These include graduating high school, getting your first job, getting your degree, getting your driver's license and etc. I think you get the point.

The stops, along the way, are the goals and achievements that you accomplish. From one stop to the next, it may not always be easy. The road you take isn't always straight. You may end up taking detours from this straight line. These detours are caused by the challenges that arise in your life (mental health issues, emotional health issues, physical health issues, first breakups, first class that you failed and etc.) Sometimes it will take longer to reach certain stops.

Now, bus stops include people too. At certain stops, people will get on your bus. These include your friends and your supporters. Along the way (at different stops down the road), people will get off your bus but that doesn't mean new people won't get on your bus. Your life is this cycle of meeting new people. You'll have those connections that last and those that fizzle out. As long as you keep achieving your goals, the more stops you will have to meet new people.

That's my bus analogy. I hope you found it interesting as I did. In fact, I challenge you to map out your life. Map out all your milestones ( stops) and map out the challenges that you had to overcome to get from one stop to the next. Map out the friends that you made along the way and the people that supported you. Map out your future goals. Map out your life - see how far you have come and what you want to do in the future!

That's all for today and I'll talk to you next Thursday! Comment down below your thoughts on my analogy!
